I was searching for something a little lighter than pie for my Non-Traditional Thanksgiving feast. I had planned to do a blood orange trifle, but…it’s no longer blood orange season, so I ended up with some Satsuma tangerines from the farmers market for my trifle. Then…I felt like it needed something and asked around for other seasonal suggestions. Pomegranates and cranberries came up and since I had extra cranberries….this seemed like the perfect balance.
The recipe is really simple and we whipped this up Thanksgiving morning before we started on the rest of our meal. This gave the trifles, which were individual trifles time to sit in the fridge and meld their flavors. The quick video is below followed by the full recipe.
